“Life is a journey” as a metaphor can be heard quite often. In fact, it has become a cliché referring to the adventurous nature of life. And by adventure in this context most people, especially the young, too often tend to mean something utterly positive, a challenge which the protagonist always sorts out, an unexpected combination of blind luck and cosmic coincidence always in favor of the one travelling. In other words, good times mixed with occasional bad times, but 100% always reaching the destination in one piece. Sheer happiness. True. But only in the movies.
Nothing is for granted. Life is a journey. Not necessarily a successful one, though. Must use caution.
