We cannot kindle when we will Jh 3:8,

The fire which in the heart resides; Ps 39:3, Jr 20:9

The spirit bloweth and is still, Acts 2:2, Rev 7:1

In mystery our soul abides. Col 1:27, Eph 3:4, Rm 8:19

But tasks in hours of insight will’d Ex 26:30, Lk 9:28-31

Can be through hours of gloom fulfill’d. Lk 9:37-41

With aching hands and bleeding feet 2 Cor 6:4, 2 Cor 4:8-9

We dig and heap, lay stone on stone; 1 Pt 2:5

We bear the burden and the heat Mt 11:29-30

Of the long day, and wish ’twere done. Mt 20:12

Not till the hours of light return, 1 Cor 4:5

All we have built do we discern. 1 Cor 3:12-15

Therefore: 1 Cor 15:58, Eph 4:1, 1 Tim 6:12, 2 Tim 4:7-8
